(Of course I know that the man is the spiritual leader and such, as others have pointed out.) But some men do try to hinder a woman's spiritual gifts - I've had just regular people try it with me. So I think it is good to obtain a man who respects you and your unique callings. :) Thanks for another awesome post!Alicia Willishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11850670601744580160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3572190928846735458.post-60147323242604910462014-02-14T08:00:50.168-08:002014-02-14T08:00:50.168-08:00This subject of equality is a complex subject that...This subject of equality is a complex subject that a person needs to look at the whole Bible and God's character to understand. Husband and wife are both equal yet created uniquely and with different roles. Just because women are 'the weaker vessel' doesn't mean they are inferior nor should they be treated that way. Knowing you I figured that was a/the point you didn't agree with and is part of the reason I made the comment (but I'd still have made it if you didn't agree with me because it is what the Bible teaches).

That being said I also think the author of the article has a valid point about an overly controlling spiritual guy. If a woman feels she needs to completely rely on her husband and for understanding of the Bible or run everything spiritually by him that is too controlling.
